Learn and Serve America

Learn and Serve LogoLearn and Serve America is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service that supports service-learning programs in schools and community organizations throughout the United States. The programs help nearly one million students from kindergarten through college meet community needs while improving their academic skills and learning the habits of good citizenship. Learn and Serve grants are used to create new programs or replicate existing programs, as well as to provide training and development to staff, faculty, and volunteers.

Serve DC administers Learn and Serve grants to community and school-based programs to promote service-learning in the District of Columbia. The grants support programs that engage young people in exploring the history and future of their neighborhoods. They blend service with learning and research into the rich cultural diversity of DC neighborhoods.
